Enjoy the Melbourne Royal Show with our accessibility tips

2 September 2025

The Melbourne Royal Show gives your family the chance to enjoy seeing animals, rides, and fairy floss.  With a little preparation, the Melbourne Royal Show can be an enjoyable day out for the whole family.

1. Visit during quieter times

If crowds are a challenge, mid-afternoons during weekdays are generally less busy. This can make moving around easier and give you more time to enjoy attractions at your own pace.

2. Accessible parking and drop-off

The Showgrounds offers accessible parking and convenient drop-off points near entrances so you can save energy for the fun inside.

3. Facilities to meet your needs

You’ll find a Changing Places toilet on site, as well as a sensory room, both designed to make your visit more comfortable for all
family members.

4. Extra help for people with disability

Royal Melbourne Show staff wearing a sunflower badge are able to provide help to people with disability.

5. Rides for everyone

Want a great view of the show? The Ferris wheel is wheelchair accessible, so you can take in the sights from above.

6. Plan ahead

Before you arrive, check out the list of rides and show bags online. Choosing your must-dos in advance can make the day feel less rushed and more enjoyable.

7. Save with a Carer Card

If you hold a Carer Card, you can access concession entry to help make the day more affordable.

Companion Card holders can have a family member or support worker get in for free when they purchase a ticket.
