The following sibling program are in the North Eastern Non-Metropolitan Region of Victoria.

These sibling programs cover the local government areas of Alpine, Benalla, Indigo, Mansfield, Mitchell, Moira, Murrindindi, Greater Shepparton, Strathbogie, Towong, Wangaratta and Wodonga.

Description: Cooinda offers a cross border sibling support program: (1) in Wodonga and (2) in Albury . Both groups cater for the two child/ adolescent age groups of 5 to 9 years old and 9 to 17 years old. Activities are chosen to be recreational, skill building and to foster person to person support. Activities for each group are held in the afternoons.

The Albury program operates on Tuesday from 3.30 to 6 pm for the 5-9 yr old group and Thursday, 3.30 to 6 pm for the 9-17 yr old group.

In Wodonga the 5-9 yr old group meets on Mondays from 3.30 to 6.00 pm and the 9 to 17 yr old group on Wednesdays 3.30 to 6 pm. A youth group operates fortnightly during school terms from 5pm to 9pm and is a cross-border group. Transport is provided as necessary for all groups. The program is not disability specific. Cooinda’s Siblings Support Program includes bus trips and camps.

Description: Joint venture of Wangaratta Parent Support Group, Interchange Upper Murray and Noah’s Ark Wangaratta. A co-ed sibling support program for two age groups, 9-13 years and 14-16/17 years. The program consists of 6 week support sessions for each age group. It is also anticipated that a winter and summer camp will be held where both age groups are combined but given different activities.

The aim of the program is to facilitate a communal support system among the siblings through the sharing of their unique experiences and qualities, and affirming their own unique identity within the family context. A ceiling number of 10-15 siblings exists for the 6 week support sessions to maintain a productive small group environment. The program is not disability specific.
