Disability Act, abuse and neglect consultation – 26 April

The Victorian Government are wanting to hear from families of children with a disability around the proposed changes to the Disability Act 2006.
These changes are about promoting a culture of zero tolerance of abuse in digital services, and to strengthen the Disability Services Commissioner’s oversight of abuse and neglect of people with a disability.
If you are a parent or carer of a child with a disability, and have something to say around how the abuse and neglect of people with a disability should be addressed by Government, then we’d love to hear from you.
The session will take place at ACD’s new offices (587 Canterbury Rd, Surrey Hills) on the 26th of April (10.30am-1pm)
Participants will need to be a carer or parent of a child with a disability, and will be provided with a $50 Coles voucher in recognition of their time and input. Spaces are limited to 12 people. If you want to attend, please contact the ACD office on 9880 7000 or mail@acd.org.au
